Let’s clear some things up…
-
What can I expect in my first session?
Your first session will consist of going over your intake paperwork that will be sent for you to fill out prior to your first session. We will focus on identifying your goals for therapy and begin the process of building a trusting relationship.
-
How often will we meet?
Typically to begin, all of my clients see me on a weekly basis. If once per week does not work with your schedule we can alter the frequency based off of your individual needs.
-
What if im not ready to commit to ongoing therapy?
That’s totally okay. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so you can ask questions and get a feel for how I work—with no pressure to commit.
-
Do I have to talk about my past?
You never have to talk about anything that you’re not ready for. It is important for me to know certain aspects of your past to ensure I have a full scope of your needs. With that, trauma will always be discussed at your pace. A part of my job is ensuring you’re ready for these heavy topics. If you’re not ready or don’t want to, that’s okay.
-
How much does therapy cost?
This depends on how you chose to pay. I am in network with Aetna and BCBS at this time. With that, your copay and deductible is determined by your insurance. If you chose to not use insurance my current self pay rate is $150 an hour. Refer to the bottom of my about page for further information

What if I tried therapy before and it didn't really help?
That’s okay, and unfortunately can happen. I’ve worked with lots of clients who have not had an ideal experience prior to working with me- so you’re not alone. Not every therapist is the right fit for every person. I strive to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and safe. If we’re not the right match, I’ll help connect you with someone who might be.
